Buckland Park MF radar - METEOR sky map
MF radar meteor observations have several limitations which result in reduced count rates with respect to those obtained for VHF radars (e.g. Tsutsumi, M. et al, Earth, Planets and Space, 51, 691-699, 1999). Furthermore, the experimental configuration for MF radars are optimised for the analysis of partial reflection returns, which is not ideal for meteor observations. Despite these limitations, the results presented above are provided to demonstrate the adaptability of the VHF radar meteor analysis for MF radar observations.
