Design and manufacture of atmospheric radar systems

ATRAD welcomes Richard Mayo who has joined the company as a Senior Design Engineer.

Richard has previously worked on the ATRAD Wuhan VHF development as a consultant to us through his previous employment with Inspiration Technology Pty Ltd.

More recently Richard worked for ATRAD on a full time casual basis and we are pleased to announce he is now a full time permanent employee.

Richard has over 25 years of engineering experience covering all major electronic disciplines and working environments.

Some of his earliest work includes development of Hybrid circuits for Philips Microelectronics for the Philips FM900 VHF/UHF mobile radio and Design of Microprocessor circuits for the Codan 8525 Transceiver.

Other projects included the Laser Airborne Depth Sounder (LADS) for C.J.Abell & Co. Pty Ltd, at Acacia Research Design of high speed digital circuits for a Digital Video Frame Store and at Meccar Electronic Design Pty Ltd on a range of design engineering projects.

Richard is currently working on the Saura MF radar to be installed in Norway in June of this year.
