Solid state VHF Transmitter - STX-II
The ATRAD STX-II Transmitter family has been specifically designed to be used in Atmospheric Pulsed Radars for wind profiling at heights between 1 kilometre and 20 kilometres (actual height coverage will depend on location). The STX-II VHF Transmitter has many applications, which include:
The building block of an STX-II transmitter is a sub-rack housing up to six 4kW transmitter modules. Subracks can then be combined to further increase the available output power. ATRAD has two standard STX-II configurations: the ST-20 (20 kW peak output power) and ST-40 (40 kW peak output power). However, due to its modularity an STX-II can be configured to deliver lower and higher output powers as required by the customer. ATRAD has supplied Atmospheric Radars to customers around the world. It has established links with many organisations and institutions researching atmospheric phenomena such as wind velocities, turbulence, atmospheric waves and the energy and temperature exchange between different layers of the atmosphere. ATRAD has formal links with the Atmospheric Physics Research Group in the Department of Physics and Mathematical Physics at Adelaide University in South Australia. ATRAD has access to the University's large field station at Buckland Park north of Adelaide to test and develop new equipment. ATRAD can customise your system to meet your requirements and provide total life of system support. STX-II TRANSMITTER SPECIFICATIONS
