VHF Valve Transmitter - VTX6

17 kW Module

The ATRAD VHF Valve Transmitter has been specifically designed for Atmospheric Pulsed Radars for wind profiling at heights between 1 kilometre up to 20 kilometres (actual height coverage will depend on location).

The VHF Valve Transmitter has many applications, which include:

  • Forecasting and Nowcasting
  • Rocket Launch support
  • Monitoring Atmospheric Pollutant Dispersal
  • Atmospheric and Meteorological Research
  • Weather Balloon Launch Sites

ATRAD has supplied Atmospheric Radars to customers around the world. It has established links with many organisations and institutions researching atmospheric phenomena such as wind velocities, turbulence, atmospheric waves and the energy and temperature exchange between different layers of the atmosphere.

ATRAD has formal links with the Atmospheric Physics Research Group in the Department of Physics and Mathematical Physics at Adelaide University in South Australia. ATRAD has access to the University's large field station at Buckland Park north of Adelaide to test and develop new equipment.

ATRAD can customise your system to meet your requirements and provide total life of system support.
